Katie's Senior Session

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and celebrated New Year in style!  I had a wonderful white Christmas in Wisconsin.  While we were there visiting family, we got 18 inches of snow!  My Christmas wish was to see it snow and boy did it ever come true.  Many new and exciting things are in store for 2013 at Anne Whitty Photography!  Stay tuned to the blog to find out more.

This past fall I photographed Katie.  Katie is a lovely senior.  I had so much fun photographing her.  She is such a natural in front of the camera.  Here are a few samples from her session.

Sophie's 2nd Birthday

I always love photographing milestones for families.  Sophie just turned two and her parents wanted to have her portrait taken.  I photographed Sophie last year for her 1st Birthday and my how she has grown!  It's amazing how much a child can learn in just one year.  I am lucky enough to witness that everyday with my own daughter.  We went to Quiet Waters Park to do the portrait session.  It was such a beautiful day!  I will be going there again this weekend for a Senior Portrait Session and I can't wait to see the Fall colors.  Here are a few photographs from her session.

Baby Reese

I love doing infant portraits!  I recently photographed baby Reese.  She was a little over a week old when I took her portrait.  She was so sweet and so tiny.  I am a mother a 2 1/2 year old and a 5 month old and even I quickly forgot how tiny newborns are.  They grow up so fast.  That's one of the many reasons why I think it's so important to get photographs of infants within the first two weeks. Before you know it they are two years old and running circles around you! Here are a few photographs from our session.

S Family Reunion

I had the pleasure of photographing the S Family.  They all gathered together in Annapolis to reunite and celebrate their mother's 80th Birthday.  They were all so sweet and are such a tight knit family.  It was so wonderful to see such joy! Here are a few photos from their session.

Brian + Hillary's Mini-Wedding

I normally do only a few weddings a year and they are almost always small or just the bride and groom.  I like to call these types of weddings "mini weddings." I love photographing mini weddings, especially when it's just the bride and groom.  It makes for much more intimate and candid wedding photos.  Brian is in the military and was originally supposed to be stationed on the East Coast. Hillary found a great job in Maryland.  They got engaged, but unfortunately Brian's plans changed and he is now stationed in Europe.  Brian and Hillary decided that they wanted to elope while he was on leave so that she can join him in Europe.  They were such a sweet couple and so much fun to photograph.  I could tell that they are so in love and the best of friends.  We had a great time walking around downtown Annapolis.  I can't wait for the next mini wedding!
There were lots of random Adirondack chairs throughout downtown.
A beautiful day at City Dock.

One of the reasons I love photographing in downtown is that there are so many unique spots for romantic portraits, like this back alley on a side street.
  Beautiful Hillary!

Holly's Naval Academy Graduation

Back in May, on the day of the Naval Academy Graduation, I met up with Holly and her family.  Holly graduated from the Naval Academy and will be joining the Marine Corps.  Graduation day at the Naval Academy is lots of fun. The energy is electric and everyone you pass has a smile on their face.  It was so much fun to see the hundreds of families who were there to support their son or daughter.  All around me were parents beaming with pride.  Holly's family was no exception.  They were so sweet and so proud of Holly.  It was a pleasure taking her and her family's portrait.  Here are a few photos from that session.

Courtney's Naval Academy Graduation Portrait

Back in May I did a graduation photo session with Courtney and her family. Courtney recently graduated from the Naval Academy.  Courtney and her family were so sweet.  Courtney's brother is also in the Navy and was going to be deployed a few weeks after graduation.  He has a young daughter and a wife that I also got the chance to photograph.  Their daughter is so cute and full of smiles!  Here are a few photos from the session:

Prom 2012

Prom season is always a blast and this year was no different.  I was lucky enough to photograph two couples from Archbishop Spalding High School.  I love working with high school students.  They always have so much energy and are such naturals in front of the camera.  Here are a few images from that session.
